The National Center for Therapeutics Manufacturing (NCTM) is a first-of-its-kind, interdisciplinary workforce education institution and biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility located at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.  With the mission to train and develop a highly-skilled workforce for the vital U.S. and global pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, NCTM’s curriculum incorporates principles of engineering and science in a variety of focus areas, including bioprocess equipment operations; process development, optimization, and scale-up; monitoring, analysis and testing; GLP, GMP, quality, regulatory, and much more.  The NCTM’s well-appointed analytical and wet labs, cell culture suite, conference halls, simulation software training laboratory, and fully-equipped cGMP training suite – outfitted with cutting-edge upstream and downstream bioprocess equipment – provide some of the most interactive and realistic pharmaceutical manufacturing training environments available on the market today. 

The NCTM offers accredited academic and technical certificate programs, professional development, and industry training-on-demand via didactic instruction, hands-on and simulation training, and blended/distance learning.  The NCTM has also created a vibrant series of outreach activities to continue to fill the workforce pipeline, including STEM camps, educator workshops, and industry internships.  All NCTM training is developed and delivered by industry-experienced instructors and academic subject matter experts from a broad range of disciplines.  Current workers can learn new skills to continue to meet the demands of a rapidly changing industry, and new hires can gain a running start, lessening the need for on-the-job training.  For more information about NCTM and its programs, please visit nctm.tamu.edu.
